In 2007 Andrew Palmer and Carey Nelson formed The IT4, LLC, a complete technology solutions company. The genesis of The IT4 was a group of Information Technology professionals who saw a need for comprehensive technology services. The IT4 exists to provide those services to everyone, from individuals to small business to large enterprise, with unparalleled customer service.

Carey Nelson

Carey Nelson attended Cartersville High School and Kennesaw State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree.  Despite a proclivity for computers and technology related activities, Carey entered the law enforcement field. Having had a successful career in law enforcement, which culminated with becoming the youngest Chief of Police in the State of Georgia, Carey returned to school to acquire several information technology industry certifications.

After completing a sixteen day “boot camp” course at CED Solutions in Atlanta, GA he received six certifications including his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification. For the past four years Carey has applied this knowledge as a System Administrator for the parent company of the Booth Western Art Museum and Tellus Science Museum.

Andrew Palmer

Andrew Palmer, a native of Cartersville, Georgia, has worked in the Information Technology field for most of his life.  He attended Kennesaw State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Systems in 2001.  He started his career in the IT department of the local cable company and now has over 14 years of experience.

While working full time in the IT departments of the cable company and other businesses, he spent many nights and weekends helping others with their technology needs.  From individuals to small businesses, these services included computer repair, networking, telephony, home theaters, and more.  From these experiences, he saw an opportunity and a need for a business.
